Description
A five-year-old Labrador Retriever named Jellybean, against all odds, overcame a deadly osteosarcoma diagnosis after participating in a clinical trial at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Trials like these could hold important clues to treating cancer in humans. With the help of the Office of Media Relations at Tufts University, Jellybean graced the front page of The Boston Globe back in December 2022. Standing tall on all three legs, Jellybean went on to do several more media appearances (including Scripps News—reaches 61 TV stations in 40 markets), helping to elevate the reputation of Cummings School, increase participation in the school’s clinical trials, and bring both dogs and humans one step closer to a potential cure.
