On behalf of our client, the Rhode Island Police Chiefs’ Association (RIPCA), John Guilfoil Public Relations organized a press conference that highlighted the rise in motor vehicle fatalities on state roadways over the past year. The event brought numerous RIPCA member departments together to show that the issue of motor vehicle fatalities is a concern across the state, and several representatives from state and federal partnering agencies spoke as well. Coverage of the press conference was featured on the four largest TV news stations in the state, on the state’s largest news radio station, and in the state’s latest print newspaper. Our livestream of the event was also viewed by thousands of people via Facebook Live. RIPCA has since credited the press conference with raising tremendous awareness over the issue, and it has led to additional outreach opportunities for RIPCA and their state and federal partners.
